What The Club Says
Lindrick is an excellent test for golfers of all standards - the greens are firm and fast, the course is open throughout the year and in winter playing conditions are particularly good. Temporary greens are rare and the fine fairways make preferred lies unnecessary other than in the wettest years. The golf course is unusual in that it finishes with par 3, rated by some as one of the best finishing holes in golf.

The course played incredibly well, with every hole offering something unique. Considering the recent heatwave, the greens and tee boxes were in immaculate condition. We both thoroughly enjoyed the day from start to finish. The hospitality in the bar afterwards was excellent, and the personalised welcome note at the entrance was a lovely touch that made us feel genuinely welcomed. I would highly recommend the club to anyone.

Why today?
We had been looking forward to playing Lindrick for almost a year after getting the round as a gift for fathers day 2025. I have nothing but praise for your staff and members who made us so welcome. Unfortunately the weather on the day we had booked to play was unbearable. Suffering the highest temperatures ever recorded in the UK for June, and being out over the hottest part of the day made trying to enjoy the course almost impossible, hence only a score of 8. Sensibly we should have tried to cancel our round, and rebook something later. However my son and I had included the round in a two day trip, and had travelled from County Durham. The voucher we had would expire in September 2026, and it was almost impossible for us to arrange another date before then.Enough of my moaning, as obviously you could do nothing about the weather we encountered.
Once again thank you to your staff and members that we met, and hopefully we can return on a better day, to truely enjoy your course.

Golf Trip
Myself and two friends visited Lindrick on one of the "thursday deals" and it was a wonderful day for us all.The course was fantastic (albeit we didn't overly enjoy the rough at times), the food and drinks were great, but more importantly all the staff we encountered were extremely friendly and chatty and put us at ease straight away. Given the prestigious status and history of Lindrick I can imagine it can be quite a daunting place to visit for most 'average' golfers.
We will hopefully be back again soon!

Friendly welcome. Course condition and layout was very good. Warm and sunny weather. Unfortunately we were behind a large visiting party which was extremely slow. It took us just over 3 hours to play 10 holes!! So, reluctantly we walked in from the halfway hut.Reviewer Rating
