Very good set up for a challenge, quite open in parts but rough and grass areas can easily grab the ball.

Excellent challenging course, always tricky wind condition, greens are ok, like an inland links. very enjoyable, some holes with chance of birdie and some to try and walk away with par. good value for money and excellent facilities

Best thing about this course - the clubhouse. Although the course, provides a challenge due to it's various hazards, the course itself is very very poorly kept. It was £22.50 a round, with £5 for a buggy which we had to change half way round as he battery died.

The rough was a nightmare, was similar to that of a links course it was very thick/high reads and near impossible to escape in 1 shot. Turned into a weed hacking session later in the day, however with it being so thick and dense it was a great reminder to stay OUT. Perhaps helping motivate us to play good shots on some holes.

The fairways - in one word, terrible. The fairways are very poorly kept and look as though they have been cut with a strimmer. Awful.

Greens - the quality of the greens varied throughout the course, majority of them being very poor however and looking as though lots of buggies have driven over them, not smooth very bobbly.

Overall poor course, would not play there again unless it was for £10 maybe!

Has the potential to be an amazing course, but as it is, terrible. Fairways rough, greens uneven & bumpy with the off mushroom to make it interesting. Although the rough is tough to play out of it's not too bad for finding your ball.

A decent course and a decent test, course was a touch dry but most of the holes are really well thought out and good to play. Good bar and food afterwards and nice staff. Great Value for the money !

Golfshake Team ReviewExcellent All rounder.

I know they had some bad press here with some vandals ruining the greens, I did play the course when it was at its worst and it wasnt amazing, but credit where its due, 3 weeks later I returned and it was as good as new.

Can get dryish through the summer, but which course doesnt??

Provides an excellent test for any golfer with narrow holes and plenty of hazards.

The signature 8th hole, the par 3 island green is a very nice test. Take some balls.

The only downside to this course is that it is very open and the wind does come into play most days.

Overall a great experience and a frequent visitor.

This is set up as an inland linx coarse and that is exactly what you get you want the wind to get up to make the coarse more dificult. There are many different holes to encounter which makes the coarse very interesting. There are some greens that have tracks on them but not enough to affect your game.We paid £20.00 on a sunday morning which is great value for money and when you are tackling the 106 yard par 3 which is surrounded by water and the winds blowing its a great test of courage.

This course is very good, long holes, short holes, never any hold-ups, always seems to be windy and this just adds to the trickiness, you can shoot very low but you can also shoot very high.

Most reveiwers have this one down to a tee! Some greens are not pleasing to the eye because of oil and have been patched in places which can seriously effect putts. The unaffected greens are extremely quick. The course was a good challenge, a good mix of holes and represents good value for money...I will be back!

the course had quite alot of vandalism both on the greens and the aproaches. The greens played a bit slow and were bumpy. Interesting par 3's, especially the island green which I birdied! This course has not filled out yet, but shows promise in a few years.

Nice open course with good drainage. The signature Island green is good, unless it is frozen and then you can't hold the green. I would think on a windy day this is less attractive. But overall very enjoyable. Very helpful staff

Played Good Friday, with the course surprisingly firm. Greens looked short of grass, though ball ran true, and were very testing. Always love the 8th, Island green which you pass as you drive through the course for anticipation factor. Fantastic practice area with a good chipping, bunker and putting area making it a good idea to turn up hour before your tee time for a free hour of fine tuning.

Excellent Greens

Found the course to be in a surprisingly good condition despite all the recent wet weather. Greens were fast, bunkers well raked and weeded and green aprons good. Will definitely be back to play in the summer when it will hopefully be sunnier and less windy.

The Course is in fair condition considering the amount of rain we have had, the greens were good, the bunkers let the Course down and have done for some time and the buggy track needs work to fill in some large pot holes.
