A brilliant relatively new course. A warm welcome awaits all. The course is an open links type with lots of challenging holes. Beware the 8th with its island green. Facilliaties are superb and at the moment include complimentary range balls, tea/coffee and showers. The halfway house has excellent snacks all very well priced. You just gotta plsy this one.

Blakes Mid May

Excellent course, not too advanced but tricky long par 4?s. And a great water par 3.
Hosts really welcoming.

Regular Tuesday Visit

Six of us descended onto Blakes. An hour before we were due to play the heavens opened and soaked most of Essex. This turned the course into a very lush state and the only thing it affected were the bunkers which we used a GUR.
The Greens were fantastic, not easy to read but generally very playable and fast even though we had all that rain.
This was our ninth visit and we will definitely be back, The only issue is there is no breakfast facility on a Tuesday so we go elsewhere, I am sure it would pay for itself if there was someone there to make it.
Its a hidden Gem so sssh.

wet round at Blakes

I had a fantastic round at Blakes, a good inland links-style course with beautiful rolling hills and superb greens. well laid out, I played off 12 and shot an 82, with only one lost ball. Island Green.
We had the deal of 2 x players and a buggy for ?60 well worth it, the staff in the bar and pro shop are lovely really friendly as were some of the members, will definitely book again.

Interesting experience

Played on a Monday in October. Course was good-greens excellent.
Arrived back at 4 pm to find the clubhouse closed which was a problem. Shoes inside.
Eventually found a young lady who had not been able to let us in for about 10 mins as she was on the phone . Very strange to only have one staff member on duty.
