The course is vary good for a public course, it has a lot of bunkers that make it that little more challenging

As described before this course is well maintained with the greens being good condition although a little slow. I wasn't a big fan of the gulleys running right across the fairways, meaning you quite often have to stand with your feet at various heights to the ball. Im assuming this is drainage channels, so come the wet weather will make the course drain better. As mentioned by other people the horse riders, joggers and dog walkers all have a death wish as they just jump out in front of your shots oblivious to the fact they could be hit. I was also a little fed up of dodging dog mess of which my ball rolled straight through! All this aside i found the course nice and challenging with open fairways to relatively narrow tree lined ones. I played with people of mid teens handicap which is alot better than me and all of us concluded that we will be returning to play more rounds here.

For a public course this is excellent however it is swamped with walkers, runners, dog walkers, cyclists and horse riders. People totally disregarding that there is a golf course and walking/running fairways oblivious to people playing golf lets it down a bit. Oh and no rakes at all. Good course itself though.

The course layout at Belfairs is pretty good with the front 9 being relatively open and the back 9 winding its way through the woodland so you have to be hitting the ball very straight to stay on the fairways! Greens are in great condition for a public course. The only problem is the amount of people that walk their dogs around the course rather than sticking to the woods or the open fields at the side of the 6th fairway which can get a bit frustrating when they don't realise your about to tee off and walk straight across the fairways. Can be a bit muddy in winter months and very leafy through the end of autumn.

Course in excellent condition, green were a little slow but no bare patches. One of my favourite courses with challenging driving holes.

Belfairs has a good feel about it, you can tell it's got some history and this adds to the appeal of the course. There are some very good holes, which really make you think. The narrow fairways on the back nine require accuracy off the tee to avoid the trees. For a public course, the greens are generally excellent. The one negative about Belfairs is the facilities; a visitor who likes to have a hot lunch will be disappointed.

Excellent value for a public course. Some real effort has been made by ground staff on the tees and greens. Greens in great condition, unfortunately as this is also a park the fairways do not get as much attention. Nice open front 9 to get you warmed up for the tight tree lined back 9, Some nice challenges for all standard of golfers.

This course has a lot of potential, going from an open front 9 to a more in closed back 9, it makes you think about what shots to play.
Only thing that lets this course down is people walking their dogs across the fairways and have no sense of etiquette. Fairways and greens aren't the best but value for money is good.
