A well maintained course with plenty of interesting holes. The first nine is ideal if you cannot handle hills but is still a challenge to post a good score. The back nine is shorter but has views and holes criss crossing a valley.

This is a gem of a course and the greens are in great condition. The right level of challenge for any handicap.
News that the club will be ripped down next year and the whole thing becoming a upmarket spa and the fees going up to crazy pricing, so play it soon.

Took a small society here that were two short of agreed numbers which I updated on the phone the day before our arrival together with a price adjustment upwards which was understandable. On arrival all members were informed by a rude member of staff that we were not a Society, in an arrogant and aggressive manner even though we wore identical Club shirts with our Society Logo ! It was obvious to us all that we were considered as trying to "get away with something" We had to ask for coffee to be served along with the bacon rolls,carts 30 pounds and a curt instruction to stay off the fairways.
Lunch on the table as soon as golfers returned from the course with no time to even wash hands and get a drink.
We are a Society established for many years and our collective opinion was that this was our worst experience ever, and we shall not return, not that anyone at Avisford would even care. The course incidentally was very good.
