What The Club Says
The highly manicured parkland course at Avisford is very different from the early days which some members can still recall. The course is now a visual delight with a profusion of trees and flowering shrubs bordering its fairways and boundaries. Technically the course represents a testing challenge of accuracy and control; it is a par 70 of 5900 yards.

A course of two halves
A few changes since I last visited 5 years ago, really is a course of 2 halves. The first 9 is quite open and the second 9 over the road is undulating and less forgiving. There is also water on Hole 2 which you will need to get over on to the green. The hole 1 tee is a lot further forward now due to housing on the left. The course is a little tired (just like UK Hilton Hotels where the course is), especially the signage but on the whole, still an enjoyable course. Peace out.Reviewer Rating

Eclectic gem
Played the course for the first time. Front nine a very pleasant flat, mainly tree lined parkland course. Back nine totally different with undulating fairways, gentle hills and noticeable side slopes. Don’t be fooled by the distance, the back 9 was ‘only’ about 2500 yards off yellow tees; the side slopes particularly, made for some very challenging holes INDEED. What a gem, and it was £35, which was excellent value. Would definitely recommend and I’ll be playing again.Reviewer Rating

Very average course
There are far better courses to play for £40 green fee. Tees in poor condition, bunkers terrible, water hazards poorly marked and card yardages/stroke indexes not matching tee boxes. Greens OK with some tricky undulations. Just seems in need of some care and attentions.Reviewer Rating

A tricky, interesting course
First visit here. An interesting course. Don’t be deceived by the length. Very dry tee boxes & patchy fairways but not bad for the price. Will definitely play againReviewer Rating

Great Sussex course
I played on a very hot day, perfect conditions and the course was in fantastic shape. The front nine is a Par 37 and was quite tough. Really enjoyed it.(Round played: Aug 2021 - ScoreF9: 63 Handicap: )
