Good variety of holes with plenty of water to negotiate. Easy to book, staff were friendly and course was in good condition for November. All four of us have vowed to return soon. A good experience all round

Good course, slow play
Nice course, tricky with lots of water running through holes. Worst part is members jumping on the course for the back 9 which made the pace of play awful. 1 hour 45 for front 9 and 3 hours 15 for back 9.Reviewer Rating

Notts JB golf Society day
Great Service, Brilliant food, Superb golf course. Arranged society event here, got great tee times for Sunday pm and arrange all comps up front with the pro shop and events coordinator.Arrived a hour before and greeted by the manager. Then was given unlimited tea and coffee before we sat down for an amazing breakfast. The service was brilliant and the food superb. Didn't make use of the range due to large breakfast, but practise putting area was spot on.
The course itself was a good challenge. I think its the first time I've used every club in my bag in the same round. Lots of interesting shape to the holes and a real challenge with Channels running across several of the holes (Check you course maps as some don\'t appear on the signage). The greens were are really true and were a good test for all levels. Our society ranges from indices of 4 to 30, so good to find a course that all players can enjoy, and this was it! I would definitely recommend Aston wood. The course isn't too big that the bar is overly busy with loads of groups, and therefore your get the personal service level with a great challenging course.
If you're not sure, I'd say get it booked!

Nicely presented with some bite
Really well presented course, clubhouse and driving range. Not the longest, but with fast greens and unforgiving rough, if your game isn't on-point you will be punished. Overall a stern test of golf, and thoroughly enjoyable.(Round played: Jun 2021 - Score: 92 Handicap: 20.3)

Great course but slow going
Loved the course. Quite short but the layout means you're required to use all the clubs in your bag - lots of irons/fairway woods off the tees meaning mid to long irons into greens. A nice change from Driver / wedge. It's in great condition too. Minor draw back is being sent out after lots of four balls playing a senior competition, so it took an hour longer than it would otherwise do.Reviewer Rating
