One of the best I?ve played
What a lovely course, fairways are so lush, every hole has a different challenge, greens are quick so adds additional challenge... my only negative was that every bunker (marked or not) were ?Under Repair?!It's not a cheap course (?40 on a weekday) to play but the course and facilities make it a ?I want to come back? course.

Bit disappointed
I was very eager to play the course after reading some good reviews. Booked a twilight 5:30 tee time over the phone. Upon arrival we were charged peak rate, as there were no twilight fees. We also arrived early to hit some balls on the range. We were told the range was closed, so we reluctantly made our way to the practice green. Upon walking to the first tee, we could see a number of members hitting balls on the range! The course itself started well and I was impressed with the first 4-5 holes. However, a pattern soon emerged. Elevated tee - played onto a valley fairway - approach into a raised green where you couldn’t see the bottom of the flag. Whilst this layout is fine, the repetition became a bit of a joke with my playing partner... “Oh look, another valley hole”.
The greens were true and the majority of fairways were in good condition. However, I’ve played many better layouts for less money.

A worthwhile visit
The course was in excellent condition despite recent fairway tining. I thought the greens were excellent and are very much part of this course?s defence. Raised relatively small contoured greens are challenging and in excellent condition. We were well looked after for a very reasonable fee. I would certainly visit again.Reviewer Rating

Great course layout, first 3 holes of the back nine are a hard test, great condition, as they now water the fairwaysReviewer Rating

Worth a visit.
Play this course regularly with a member. Lots of greens are raised so can't always see to the pin which makes it a challenge. New buggie path in the front nine has added to the overall look of the course. There seems to be a lot of change going in with the club house etc so will be an interesting period for the club.Reviewer Rating

Don't get the hype
Never played here before, always been put off by the green tee price & had heard it was a little snobby, but found a cheap deal on TeeOffTimes and thought “why not”.Immediate bad taste in the mouth when one of the guys I was playing with was told he had to buy and wear a pair of white socks from the pro shop because he’d worn black ones. We were the last group off all day, hardly anyone there, does it really matter? And people wonder why the numbers participating in golf are shrinking, this kind stuff puts people off.
The course, nice enough but nothing special, and a silly amount of holes that were the same: tee off from an elevated point down into a valley then hit next/approach shot up to an elevated tee that has drop offs. Course not in particularly good condition, bobbly greens and unkempt fairways, appreciate the extreme weather we’ve had this summer but cheaper, busier courses have coped better than this. Opening 8 holes are probably the most difficult I’ve played which isn't a complaint at all.
In short, I probably won’t return, especially with Toot Hill just down the road which is cheaper and vastly more interesting and in better condition than here.
