Ryder Cup Star set for TP Tour at Gatton Manor

By: | Mon 29 Jul 2013

Gatton Manor Golf Club will be welcoming former Ryder Cup winner Ronan Rafferty, when it hosts the TP Tour Pro Am Event on Wednesday 21st August.

The one day tournament will see a strong field of professional and amateur pairings take on the mature18 hole woodland course in heart of the Surrey Hills. Designed by English golf architect, Commander John D Harris, this challenging course will test the skills of both pros  and amateurs alike as they tackle the streams, lakes, and tree-lined fairways with water that come into play on 10 of the 18 holes.

"I am thrilled that we are one of the host venues involved the TP Tour and in association with our sponsors, Kronenbourg, we look forward to welcoming players and spectators to what should be a fabulous day at The Gatton Manor Kronenbourg Open” said Sally Moulden, Golf Manager

"It is very exciting for us that Ronan will be playing and leading a field of top professional players, who I am sure, will find the course in particularly fine condition”

“It is also an ideal opportunity for golf fans living in Surrey and Sussex to take part or simply come along and watch the action”.

Amateur players can still register to play, by contacting the Gatton Manor Pro Shop on 01306 627555. Entry is £120 per person and this will include coffee and bacon roll on arrival, 18 holes with a professional partner, full buffet lunch and the opportunity to win some great prizes including one year’s membership of the club.

Spectators are welcome to join us for FREE from 8.00am.
