Wallis wins on the TP Tour at Royal St Georges

By: | Fri 26 Apr 2013

Richard Wallis from Walmer and Kingsdown has won the TP Tour’s latest event at The Royal St George’s Golf Club.

Wallis, the current ‘PGA Play Offs’ champion of the last two years went round in 70 strokes in windy but bright conditions at the spectacular Open Championship venue.

Joining him on level par was Lloyd Campbell also from Kent, and the two proceeded to a sudden death play off.
Both hit their approaches from perfect position in the centre of the 1st fairway left of the green. Wallis made a safe up and down for a par four, and with it the title and £1500 first prize.

Challenge Tour player Matt Ford and George Parker from The London Club finished in joint 3rd place on 71.
