Srixon’s ZXi iron line-up is expanding in a big way for 2026 with the launch of the new ZXiR and ZXiR HL irons. Targeted firmly at the game improvement and super game improvement categories, these new models are designed to offer more distance, more forgiveness and a noticeably softer feel for mid and high handicap golfers without compromise.

Srixon has introduced a brand-new face material, fresh shaping and a high-launch option, meaning there is now a ZXi iron to suit virtually every type of player.

Srixon ZXiR Irons

“With the introduction of our new game improvement irons, and for the first time ever, a super game improvement model, Srixon is opening the door for more golfers to experience the performance and feel our irons are celebrated for. These additions represent a new chapter in our innovation journey, bringing the advanced technologies and premium craftsmanship players expect from Srixon and making them available to all levels of golfer.” – Joe Miller, European Product Manager.

Completing the Iron Family

The launch of ZXiR and ZXiR HL completes Srixon’s iron family, delivering a comprehensive line-up designed to serve every type of player

2026 Srixon ZXi Iron Line-Up

ZXi7 - Players Iron
ZXi5 - Players Distance Iron
ZXi4 - Players Development Iron
ZXiR  - Game Improvement Iron
ZXiR HL - Super Game Improvement / High Launch Iron
ZXiU Utility-Utility Iron
Z-Forged II - Blade Iron

For golfers and fitters, that means you can now build blended sets that move seamlessly from forgiving long irons into more compact scoring irons, or simply choose a full bag of help from ZXiR or ZXiR HL if you want maximum confidence and consistency.

New i-ALLOY Face - Softer Feel, Stronger Performance

To move their game improvement irons on from the previous generation, Srixon has created i-ALLOY, a new material engineered specifically for ZXiR.

i-ALLOY is around 10% softer than traditional 431 steel, giving a noticeably softer, more muted feel at impact while still maintaining durability.

That softer base lets the head work harder for you - enhancing feedback, reducing harsh vibrations and producing a feel that’s unusual in this category of iron.

Srixon has also created new MainFrame milling patterns. Using real strike data from a huge sample of game improvement golfers, mass has been repositioned across the face to:

  • Put the sweet spot lower on the face, where most mid and high handicappers actually strike the ball
  • Boost ball speed from a wider area
  • Increase forgiveness on off-centre strikes
  • Tighten dispersion

Confidence at Address

Srixon clearly knows that game improvement golfers still care about how an iron looks when it’s behind the ball. ZXiR retains a clean topline and premium cavity-back profile, so it doesn’t drift into oversized, awkward territory. It’s designed to inspire confidence without screaming “super game improvement” when you put it down at address.

Compared to the other ZXi models, ZXiR irons feature:

  • Longer blade lengths offering more stability and forgiveness
  • Wider soles helping the club glide through the turf and avoid digging
  • More offset making it easier to square the face and reduce the big right miss

ZXiR HL – Srixon’s First Super Game Improvement / High Launch Iron

For 2026, Srixon is introducing ZXiR HL (High Launch) - its first ever super game improvement iron. This model is built for golfers who have slower swing speeds, struggle to get the ball airborne consistently and need extra stopping power into greens.

Key characteristics of ZXiR HL irons:

  • Lofts tuned for higher launch
  • Optimised head specs to help generate more spin and height
  • Designed to produce higher launch, more spin and softer landings

Internal Srixon testing suggests that ZXiR HL is the highest launching iron in its class, making it a strong option for senior golfers, newer players, or anyone who fights a low, flat ball flight.

There’s also a dedicated Women’s ZXiR HL configuration featuring optimised components and specs tailored for female golfers, while still packing the same cavity-back forgiveness and face technology as the standard models.

Who Are ZXiR & ZXiR HL Irons For?

The ZXiR irons are best suited to:

  • Mid-to-high handicap golfers
  • Players who want easy launch, added distance and plenty of forgiveness
  • Golfers who still like a sleeker, more traditional profile at address

The ZXiR HL irons best suited to:

  • High-handicap players who need maximum forgiveness
  • Slower swing speed golfers looking for help launching the ball higher
  • Golfers who want high launch, more spin and softer landings on approaches

The women’s ZXiR HL are suited to:

  • Female golfers who want a purpose-built, forgiving iron
  • Players looking for lightweight, easy-to-swing clubs that deliver height, distance and accuracy

Premium Shafts, Grips & New Custom Options

Both ZXiR and ZXiR HL come with quality components as standard:

  • Golf Pride Tour Velvet 360 grips
  • KBS 80 HL steel shaft option
  • Multiple KBS graphite options for players who prefer lighter, higher launching setups

New for 2026, golfers can also pick from three different custom ferrule styles with matching grips, allowing you to personalise the look of your ZXiR irons without compromising on performance.

Key Tech: Turf Interaction, Grooves & Spin Control

Alongside the new face material and MainFrame design, the ZXiR irons carry over several proven Srixon technologies:

  • Tour V.T. Sole: Srixon’s Tour V.T. Sole uses a carefully shaped V-style sole with specific bounce and relief to:
    • Reduce digging
    • Improve turf interaction
    • Encourage more consistent strikes from varying lies
  • Progressive Grooves: Groove design changes through the set to match the type of shots you’re playing:
    • Long irons (3–7) – wider grooves to promote launch and maintain ball speed
    • Scoring clubs (8–AW) – tighter, deeper grooves for extra control and spin around the green
  • Laser Face Milling: Laser-etched milling between every groove adds extra surface friction, helping you:
    • Generate consistent spin in a variety of conditions
    • Maintain control from the fairway, rough or light sand
