Survey Reveals 2023 Golf Club Membership Trends and What To Expect in 2024

By: Golfshake Editor | Fri 29 Dec 2023

Aiming to shed light on the experiences of regular golfers and provide insights into the future of golf, Golfshake recently conducted a survey focused on the topic of golf club membership. The survey, which was completed by 4,000 golfers over a ten-day period in October/November 2023, aimed to gather valuable data and analyse current trends.

Following the publication of eight articles detailing the survey's findings, we have now compiled a comprehensive overview of the data, analysis, and feedback. These include insights on the resurgence of waiting lists and joining fees at golf clubs, the perceived value for money of golf club memberships, and the likelihood of renewing memberships in 2024.

Additionally, the survey revealed the common reasons behind increasing subscriptions at golf clubs and the issues that non-members believe clubs should address. Communication was also a key aspect, focusing what some clubs still need to do and how golf clubs can attract more visitors.

As the golfing landscape continues to evolve, this survey provides valuable insights for both golfers and clubs alike.
