Busy Schedule of UK European Tour Events in 2021

Last year, the European Tour faced a major crisis due to the dramatic impact of the coronavirus pandemic, the challenge of establishing a functioning schedule led to many sleepless nights for Keith Pelley and his team, but thanks to the hastily put together UK Swing, the circuit was able to offer tournaments for its members and provide engaging content for television.

Now, in 2021, the same obstacles remain as we all yearn for something like normal, but the tour's newfound presence in the United Kingdom will continue, with nine sanctioned events on the list for this season.

Stating with the British Masters at The Belfry, hosted on this occasion by former Masters champion Danny Willett, the tour will head back to Britain in July, starting with the Scottish Open, followed by the return of the Open Championship at Royal St George's, where a significant number of spectators are hoped to be in attendance.

That'll be followed by the Wales Open at Celtic Manor, while Northern Ireland's Galgorm Castle and Massereene will host the ISPS HANDA World Invitational presented by Modest! Golf Management.

Venturing back to Scotland, the spectacular Fairmont St Andrews will then be home to the Hero Open, followed by the English Open at the renowned London Golf Club, completing six weeks of successive fixtures in the United Kingdom.

Additionally, that run will be preceded with the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open at Mount Juliet Estate (July 1-4), making for an incredible summer of European Tour golf in the UK & Ireland.

However, that's not all, with September offering first the iconic BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth, before the series is rounded off at the end that month as the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship makes a welcome return, showcasing the majesty of St Andrews, Carnoustie and Kingsbarns as we enter October post-Ryder Cup.

There is much to look forward to there for both players and fans, with the hope being that we could again witness the sights and sounds of spectators gracing these venues.

Now, that would be a treat for us all.
