What the club says: The course is set in 220 acres of mature parkland overlooking Galgorm Castle. The castle was built in 1618 by Sir Faithful Fortescue and there can be no more inspiring setting for your golfing requirements! It is bordered by the rivers Main and Braid, together with a magnificent oxbow feature and five impressive lakes.

Best condition ever

I've played Galgorm many times over the years but sadly had not played it for 4 or 5 years. This time was the best condition I've ever seen it in and it is usually excellent - better than most others. Greens were smooth and fast. fairways were superb. More bunkers and water than it had last time I played it and I've heard more changes on the way - such as an Island green for the 3rd.

Fabulous

Considering this course is only 25 years old , it is already one of the top 5 parklands in Northern Ireland . The greens are absolutely magnificent, even in March . Constantly getting better and a fitting venue for the DP World Tour every August . Love it !

Quality!

Fabulous course, definitely one of Northern Ireland’s top parklands.
Played in December on greens most courses would die for in June.

A course that I always play when I am in Northern Ireland. It has an excellent challenging lay out which is maintained to the highest standards throughout. Mature trees (and often water) line all fairways but they are generous in width. Get in the rough and you will be punished though. The bunkers are in great condition as are the greens which are also often two tiered or sloping. I always start with 30 balls on the driving range and short game practice area which is adjacent to the well stocked pro shop. Finally, the Castle Kitchen serves superb food and drink at reasonable prices. During my round today I played as a single and at the start and on my way round no less than three groups asked me if I wanted to join them. A very welcoming club.

Big and good course

Perhaps a little uninspiring, it would however be hard to argue that this is anything other than a good golf course, Great practice facilities and an excellant excellent restaurant.

This course is just alright in my opinion. In fairness the weather was awful when I played it, so it made the round very difficult. I played it in April, and the rough around the fairways and greens was extremely thick, and I lost 7 balls. Its a difficult course with water on most holes. the fairways and greens were in excellent condition. The driving range needs a touch up. the matts are not in a good condition at all, and a lot of the bays are missing tees. The bar and restaurant was busy and I am told its very good. however, our food was forgotten about and we had to wait an hour for it. The manager gave us a round of drinks for the mix up. The food was cold though

Good course but staff could be better.

We have now played this course 3 times are enjoyed it each time.It is certainly worth playing. However, each time the staff have been less helpful than ideal. On this occasion, having booked through teeofftimes at ?2 cheaper per round, we were asked to play with another two-ball. This is within their rights, but we played at 6pm in the evening and the course was virtually empty as we played. It felt as if they had simply wanted to make a point and the other two-ball teed off early anyway.Disappointing from such a good course.
