This course is just alright in my opinion. In fairness the weather was awful when I played it, so it made the round very difficult. I played it in April, and the rough around the fairways and greens was extremely thick, and I lost 7 balls. Its a difficult course with water on most holes. the fairways and greens were in excellent condition. The driving range needs a touch up. the matts are not in a good condition at all, and a lot of the bays are missing tees. The bar and restaurant was busy and I am told its very good. however, our food was forgotten about and we had to wait an hour for it. The manager gave us a round of drinks for the mix up. The food was cold though

After a few days torrential rain the course wasn't in bad condition. Which was a testament to it. The greens were excellent. However I don't believe this is the great course they'd lead you to think. When I think back on the round there was no holes that stopped me in my tracks. This is simply a good parkland course very well maintained and with a golfnow discount well worth a visit and I look forward to playing it when we do eventual get good weather. Don't waste £50 on a regular green fee it's not worth it.

Great shape of a course, well laid out and fantastic greens. Not cheep for what it is so be warned. Restaurant very expensive and so is green fees.

Big and good course

Good course but staff could be better.
We have now played this course 3 times are enjoyed it each time.It is certainly worth playing.However, each time the staff have been less helpful than ideal. On this occasion, having booked through teeofftimes at ?2 cheaper per round, we were asked to play with another two-ball. This is within their rights, but we played at 6pm in the evening and the course was virtually empty as we played. It felt as if they had simply wanted to make a point and the other two-ball teed off early anyway.Disappointing from such a good course.Reviewer Rating

excellent course with excellent ground conditions plus greens were very quick and true. Course was playing very long but very enjoyable to play.

Course in great condition. First time playing and would definitely play again. Staff very friendly and good to have a driving to hit a few balls before going out.
