Murrayshall Becomes Part of BW Premier Collection by Best Western

By: Golfshake Editor | Fri 26 Apr 2019

Situated in the heart of Scotland, Murrayshall Country House Hotel & Golf Club is a hugely popular venue on Golfshake, and its stature will only be enhanced after it was confirmed that it would join the BW Premier Collection by Beat Western.

The announcement follows an extensive renovation programme at Murrayshall that has seen the 400-year-old estate’s owners invest in excess of £2 million to bring a luxurious new look and feel to a country house hotel that is steeped in history.

Murrayshall will now feature on both bestwestern.com and bestwestern.co.uk as well as all the brand’s reservation channels as one of a carefully curated portfolio of 75 upscale and luxury boutique 4-star hotels worldwide that deliver truly exceptional and unique guest experiences.  Best Western Reward members visiting Murrayshall can also now earn points on their stay.

“Speaking on behalf of the entire team and ownership group we are honoured to become part of the BW Premier Collection by Best Western,” commented Kevin Keenan, General Manager of Murrayshall Country House Hotel and Golf Club.

"It’s also especially gratifying to become part of an elite group of hotels following the significant investment our owners have put in to enhance all areas of the property, enabling us to deliver the perfect combination of traditional comfort and modern luxury to our guests. By working closely with Best Western we are confident that we will raise awareness for Murrayshall, as well as increase our inbound traveller volumes in the years to come.”

Created by and for the world’s leading independent hoteliers, the BW Premier Collection by Best Western redefines the traditional soft brand model with unprecedented flexibility and true partnership for independent hoteliers, therefore allowing Murrayshall to maintain its individual identity and personality which has seen guests return year on year.

Rob Paterson, CEO at Best Western Great Britain, added: “We’re delighted to welcome Murrayshall Country House Hotel, BW Premier Collection to our brilliantly different collection of independently owned properties. Our collection of BW Premier Collection properties is a great example of how we are delivering more to our guests. We look forward to working in partnership with the team at the hotel to showcase and celebrate their hotel both locally and globally."

Located at the heart of Scotland, amidst glorious Perthshire countryside near the town of Scone, the 365-acre Murrayshall estate has long been popular with local and international guests looking for an intimate country house experience, coupled with 27-holes of scenic parkland golf.

Following two years of renovation work, the hotel’s interior, including its award-wining Lynedoch Brasserie, lounges, function & meeting rooms, 40 bedrooms and suites have all been beautifully refurbished, providing guests with the perfect environment in which to unwind, indulge and take in the majestic surroundings of Murrayshall.

The golf courses at Murrayshall have also benefitted from over £250k of investment in the greenkeeping team, new machinery and an extensive bunker and drainage programme that will ensure they are in their best ever condition this season. A new golfers’ clubhouse facility, including refurbished changing rooms and spike bar, will also open in May, providing members and guests with a welcoming environment in which to relax before or after their round.
