Driver Drill - Learn sequence correctly for straighter drives
According to Phil Akers, a senior teaching professional at the Belfry, many amateur golfers driver swing tend to be started in a 'top-down' approach, this means that they start the down swing with a lack of lower body movement, leading to many inconsistencies.
By using Phil's sequencing drill, it starts to get the lower body working harder and more efficiently. Using the ground more effectively increases the pressure in the left hand side of the body, causing you to feel like you are pushing up into the ball at impact.
This drill will start to get you into a better position impact, whilst simultaneously using the lower body to increase the overall distance of your drives off the tee.
