Money needs to be spent here
I've been playing this course for a number of years and seen it go from good to bad and back again - not actually sure where it stands at the moment but it has improved during the course of the year. The greens are a major issue and the staff are aware but I am not sure what the plan is to put this right - I hope that they do as the course itself is a decent layout and a good challenge.A few simple things could make such a distance - proper tee boxes , distance markers on the fairways ( seems like a no brainer, just put a few stakes in the ground ) and of course improving the greens and fairways.

Nice course, some tricky holes, some easier holes. Greens had a few bald patches but otherwise ok. Fairways good but bunkers need more sand and there's quite a few areas that are GUR. £15 for twilight round was good value.

Very poor
This course is in very bad maintained condition. Fairways awful and greens in need of urgent works.It is known that the course is no longer under the stewardship of Crown and that many repairs are required to bring the course to a reasonable standard. This should however reflect in the green fees. Would not play this course at any cost at the moment.Reviewer Rating

Need some work
Overall the course could be good with a mix of tough holes. However in urgent need or some TLC. Played in this recent heat & it looks as though it has never been watered. Wouldn't rush back.Reviewer Rating

Good course worth a visit
Very enjoyable course greens need some work to improve it a bit. Definitely go again though(Round played: Jun 2017 - Score: 87 Handicap: 21.8)

Interesting course with quite a few hazards to watch out for. Course in god nick and well worth playing. Great food in lounge.

New Name of course (Twisted Stone)
Traditions has been bought out and is now know as Twisted Stone G C. The course should get better over the next few months(Round played: May 2017 - Score: 98 Handicap: 19.3)

Unfortunately the greens are very rough in places and mostly uneven. The course itself needs work on green , fairway and some tee boxes. Would not recommend ?25 for here. Staff were pretty welcoming and friendly.

Now renamed 'Twisted Stone' this is a wonderfully designed course which is, unfortunately, not very well maintained.
Rough greens and lots of GUR bunkers.
That said, I thoroughly enjoyed the round and I will definitely be back. Lots of memorable holes, every one different.
If i had a spare £20m I'd buy the course and invest in it. I was amazed the course was empty on a Sunday morning. Couldn't get a tee time at most other courses in the area.

Greens had recently been holed and were covered in sand, wasn't informed until arrived at course. Luckily I was on early bird rate (£15) as no way would I have paid full fee! Few bunkers still GUR and those in play had too many stones. Fairways were OK.
