Absolutely terrible
Despite having read all of the terrible reviews we thought it couldn’t possibly be that bad and for only £15 why not give it a go.....well it truely is that bad! Possibly the worst course I have had the displeasure of playing on. Tee boxes, fairways, greens and bunkers in awful condition for all but about 3 or 4 holes. I would recommend anyone who considers playing here just donates the £15 to children in need, it will bring you considerably more joy!Reviewer Rating

Millionaires Golf
Seems to be the poor relation to Pyrford along the road but I have to say I prefer playing here. New owners are planning to invest through Winter and I think this will be a peach of a course next Summer. Plenty of good holes and never seems busy. Water on enough holes to keep it interesting. Needs the TLC they are planning but still plays well. Works for golf days as well. Reasonably priced. Practice facilities are a little below par.Reviewer Rating

Apocalyptic
After the world is devastated by an apocalypse, a group of blokes happen upon what used to be a course a year later... In an absolutely terrible condition (and it was clearly once a decent pay as you play). Fairways indistinguishable from the rough. Greens pure moss. Tee boxes in tatters. Looks like it has been bought to be run down and sold for development. Pro shop was the bar and the staff looked at me blankly. If the green fee had been £10, then you’d know what to expect but we paid £28 each. Virtually a crime to charge that. I’m a member at a pay as you play and fully understand it is difficult to maintain the course in winter but this looks like no-one has tended to it in months. Very sad but don’t waste your time.Reviewer Rating

Really worth a visit
I live very local to this course so try and play it often. As a high handicapper it is very challenging with one or two nasty shots over water. People complain about the state of tee boxes and greens, but really this is a pay and play course; other local courses are in a far worse state, but it is just accepted and no adverse comments are made.It is not an expensive course and rarely crowded so perfect for those of us starting out or who enjoy a friendly game without being chivvied along.
I would highly recommend it.

Nice course but needs work
I play this course lots and for £15 twilight rate from 3pm it's good value. However course was in worse condition I've ever seen it to be, greens too slow with many bald patches, more bunkers GUR than playable and Tee boxes not very nice. Really hope management spend some money and get course in better shape as I always enjoy playing it.(Round played: Oct 2017 - Score: 88 Handicap: 17.8)

Very poor
This course is in very bad maintained condition. Fairways awful and greens in need of urgent works. It is known that the course is no longer under the stewardship of Crown and that many repairs are required to bring the course to a reasonable standard. This should however reflect in the green fees. Would not play this course at any cost at the moment.Reviewer Rating

Need some work
Overall the course could be good with a mix of tough holes. However in urgent need or some TLC. Played in this recent heat & it looks as though it has never been watered. Wouldn't rush back.Reviewer Rating

Rough greens and lots of GUR bunkers.
That said, I thoroughly enjoyed the round and I will definitely be back. Lots of memorable holes, every one different.
If i had a spare £20m I'd buy the course and invest in it. I was amazed the course was empty on a Sunday morning. Couldn't get a tee time at most other courses in the area.

The guy in the pro shop had told us that the course was under new management and that the course negligence of the previous company (Crown Golf?) would be dealt with soon. Hopefully that will be the case as there are a lot of good holes here, especially the four pretty par 3's.

Staff is very friendly and I only hope that the new owners can restore the course to the level it deserves. The layout and holes are there, it just needs investment into proper maintenance.
Currently not remotely worth the £24 green fee.
