Probably the best course in the area for views. Simply stunning. Completly different to the O'Connor course on the same complex as this course is littered with bunkers. Big bunkers. Fairways and greens.
If you stay away from the bunkers there is a good score to be had. But if you end up in then a high score is waiting to brag you.
Not one boring hole on the course.

A breath-taking course but if you don't hit the ball with a degree of accuracy and length or if you're not too fond of sand it will eat you for breakfast - i loved the back 9, very dramatic with lots of blind tee shots, the fairways are excellent, the greens are true, the clubhouse is somewhat soulless which was a bit of a disappointment - I play off 10 and struggled)... we played on a twilight greenfee (85 euros), I think the full green fee is excessive, but that's golf in Portugal for you! Would recommend if you're a competent player

Excellent course but you have to be able to drive to get the ball in a position to reach the green in regulation. The greens are fast but in very good condition a great course. The staff and service is secound to none. The views from the 19th hole are great.

brilliant course, fairways like carpet greens run true and fast would reccomend to any one. if you visiting vilamoura to play its worth paying to get a cab to this resort .about half an hour away but so glad i went the distance loved it.......

I guess 'Sir Nick' was going through another divorce when he designed this, as he has certainly made it mean and tough - lots of bunkers everywhere! Apart from that it is a great course. The greens and fairways were immaculate, it's a great layout and a great setting. I would certainly recommend a buggy though as the walk from the 11th to the 12th is a beast.

The staff were very friendly and the facilities were amazing. I paid 66 euro for the round on the summer special. Here are some notes
* I found the course hard to find, not many signs leading into the grounds
* 8 back nine extremely hilly, you definitely need a buggy
* the course is lush and the outskirts feel like you are in a desert, which is different
* I enjoyed the 18th hole, really good feeling walking up to the green
* quite a bit of distance between some of the greens so you need to be prepared

As the first review, one of the best courses I have played. Of course you have to be very very careful on tee to green, but once on the green it is easily a 4 putt. For the average golfer, a par is fantastic, bogey golf is excellent, double bogey is good. The green's are like glass, but whatever your handicap, if you can walk away with 25 to 30 points you have had a great game.

One of the best courses i have ever played. There is danger on every shot you play, which really makes you have to think about what you need to do.
Very windy on the day we played it, but all of us thought it was magnificent. We will be back again next year.
