Awful especially when compared to some magnificent Algarve courses such as old course, Victoria, vale do lobo royal!! Most tee shots are blind and u have no idea where to place the ball. No gps in the buggy. We had 3 pairs all come in feeling the same way. Champ courses are meant to b tuff but this one is just way too far!! Stay on the coast is my advice and avoid this one!

looks a lot better than it plays. Overbooked and a LOT of waiting around. Took us well over 5 hours to get round. Issues with buggies so we got split up differently than we hoped. I won't be returning again but it was a good experience. Very challenging and very hilly.

Played Faldo and O\'Connor course this week - both fantastic condition. Faldo great layout but O\'Connor unremarkable. Both however let down by poor service. They have spent multi millions on the course - some satnav buggies would help for bunker and water carries too. Go and play Faldo not O\'Connor but have lunch before you get there and your 19th hole pint somewhere else.

Big test, I didn't enjoy it (it was very windy which didn't help) the design didn't flow, buggies are compulsory and the buggy paths mean you are always carrying clubs across the fairways and doubling back it just doesn't flow right and makes getting any rhythm into your game difficult and you need all the help you can get for this challenging course. Red tees are forward (we missed one red tee as it was hidden) and the holes are very different from them, the marker posts are set up for the white tee's and can be misleading if you don't know the course or have a course guide.

tough course with lots of large bunkers and challenging pin positions. A tough course for all golfers

Algarve beauty!!
First round here & was very pleasently surprized. Played Faldo courses before & it conformed to those : tight fairways; no room for big errors & huge greens. This really was a delight to play & owes me a few shots!! Well worth buying a course guide beforehand. We got a summer special rate which was outstanding value for money.(Round played: Aug 2020 - Score: 99 Handicap: 19.3)

Great course, testing layout
The Faldo layout at Amendoeira is a great test of your golf. Great variety of holes, meandering terrain and far reaching views.Some greens were a little variable on our visit but generally a great course.
