Played the course with a member and was horrified how bad the greens are...he informed that the water system hasn’t worked properly for years and the owners will never want to invest any money into getting it to work properly, saw members of the greenstaff on there phones nobody looks like they care...the whole place looked run down and neglected I feel sorry for the members who would have parted with good money to join such a shambles!Reviewer Rating

Hmmm.....
Played on a dry weekday and the place was deserted. If you love a quiet course these are for you. If you enjoy well presented courses stay away, the place is a bog and very unkept and all areas of the course were weak, especially the greens with bare patches and I think the rough at my club would be quicker to putt on.
Obviously clubhouse was equally as quiet and staff seemed totally unmotivated as there were no smiles or welcome!
Kitchen is also closed so we left and went to the pub in the way home which was so much welcoming with good beers and food.
We won't be rushing back.

Phoenix from the flame
The new owner has rescued the club, invested time and money and put together a fantastic teamThe courses are in great condition with an ongoing improvement program, and the facilities have all been upgraded
If not already, this will certainly be the best club in the area

VERY WELL LOOKED AFTER COURCE
Much better kept than the previous owners when it was Beadlow Manor. The greens and tee box were well kept, unfortunately the semi rough was a bit long so lost some balls when should not have.(Round played: Jun 2021 - Score: 108 Handicap: 31.3)

Massive improvement looking stuning
The staff and management have worked wonders over the lockdown and both courses are now stunning. There are a good mixture of holes and some interesting challenges. It is a busy course so make sure you book early to bet your preferred slot. Only the Manor course is available to the public, with the Castle reserved only for members.Reviewer Rating

Very Poor!!
The place is such a mess from the moment you drive in. Boarded up and dilapidated buildings all around!! We had to play the Baroness because the Baron was down to 9 holes as the newer 9 greens had been 'lost'!! Why? The course was in a really poor condition. Tees were long, fairways were covered with weeds and the greens were dreadful. They were very slow and had lots of bare patches and long grass laying on them. I Played in a Club Match so thankfully didn't have to pay a green fee but to be honest £10 would be too much. There are much better courses near by to play golf on.Reviewer Rating

Course in need of a serious cut
Beadlow courses seems to be in need of some good groundsmen because this was not good at all. Fairways with long grass, far too much grass that has been cut left laying in clumps to catch your ball and the greens have more moss and compacted mud than grass. Altogether not great for golfReviewer Rating

Laughable & Grim
Played 2 weeks ago during the very warm period & accept that all clubs fairways are brown but come on, the greens were also brown in lots of places with massive cracks in them where you could put your fingers down! Clearly they are not watering their greens to save money or its not working. I'd go for the latter as upon arrival there was nothing in the alleged shop, not even golf balls, which my mate needed to buy, so we had to lend him so between us to last him.Food was also non-existent as apparently the kitchen has been closed down due to standards, according to a couple of downbeat members we spoke to.
All in all a very sad experience and one we won't be repeating, which is a shame as he layout is quite nice.
