What the club says: This well established (over 20 years) course is parkland with mature tress and numerous water hazards to trap the unwary. The fairways are generous, the green receptive and the semi rough is kept quite long to penalise a wayward shot. 84 bunkers are placed strategically to test your full repertoire of shots.

Water logged course
Course in a very wet condition and trolleys not permitted. The ball tended to plug and several temporary tees.(Round played: Dec 2020 - Score: 107 Handicap: 22.6)

Gradual Improvements
Played the Castle Course. Greens are in a pretty poor state, as are the tee boxes. Considering the dry summer we have had though the fairways have held up very well and the rough is tidy. They are making a lot of improvements in and around the clubhouse but other than the greens/tees, I think the upkeep of the course furniture, tee steps, pathways and bunkers should be the priority. Could be a great track!!

Pleasant surprise
Invited by one of the members and had a very enjoyable round. Some reviews were really poor but the club are obviously investing in the courses and I think by next summer it will be outstanding. Some good challenging holes and the dog legs combat the ?boom it off the tee? brigade.
Looking forward to my next round.

Beadlow Manor > Cainhoe Wood
After the change of ownership and the relaunch as the new Cainhoe Wood, there have been great improvements to both courses and driving range. It's on the road to becoming a great club and I've backed it by recently joining!!

nice course
a nice course not to long should be a easy course but still mange some stinkers most greens good condition a couple poor(Round played: Jul 2020 - Score: 106 Handicap: 28.3)

Good course
Very busy and day not helped by the very strong wind. New owners have done well by cutting the grass in-between the trees which makes far more enjoyable to play. Keep it up(Round played: Jun 2020 - Score: 112 Handicap: 29.6)

Cainhoe Wood Golf Club
Have played here a few times since the change of name. The courses and complex itself have improved and I think the future looks positive. The layout of both courses has always been good and the course formerly known as the Baron is a tough track and could be excellent, but I feel the major step in improving the courses would be an upgrade in the irrigation system which clearly still seems to be an issue at the club! Get that sorted and you have a foundation for a great 36 holes of golf!

Changes positive
Now under new ownership and Name change. Course in much better condition and it will now be a pleasure to come back. Further improvement to go but great start.(Round played: Jun 2020 - Score: 121 Handicap: 27.3)

Not bad at all
The course is in ok condition. They’re obviously working very hard to bring it up to scratch. Enjoyed it.(Round played: Jun 2020 - Score: 89 Handicap: 22.4)
