What the club says: This well established (over 20 years) course is parkland with mature tress and numerous water hazards to trap the unwary. The fairways are generous, the green receptive and the semi rough is kept quite long to penalise a wayward shot. 84 bunkers are placed strategically to test your full repertoire of shots.

Good Twilight Round
The recent rain meant that the fairways were slowing the balls down. There has been some investment with drainage being put in.Reviewer Rating

Awful and embarrassing
Had the unfortunate chance to play the members course. Or the Castle as it’s better known.Wow. What an embarrassment. I’d be ashamed to take people there if I were a member.
Fairways are awful. Greens are unplayable. And this is in April. Not sure if the owner actually pays Green keepers to take care of the course. It’s disgusting. And to call it a members course. The people who pay a members fee must be desperate if they accept that.
All well and good updating the range with the latest trackman technology. But spend some money on the courses.
Thankfully I’ll never go back there.
The owner should be ashamed.

Verry muddy
Very muddy and boggy in places. The air pumps did not work properly with holes in the leads. Food was tasty and bar staff very accomodating.Reviewer Rating

Needs investment
Played a round on Manor course with friends while I was in the area. This course could be really good, but the greens team need to focus on actually green keeping. The greens were shocking. Bumpy, lots of weeds and slow. Tees were bare, but you could tee it up as it’s obvious been dry. Fairways were just as long as the first cut of rough. Was a busy day at the club, but took 4.5hours to get round because of groups that wouldn’t even contemplate letting groups through when they had clearly lost ground. Warden didn’t do anything about it. Would take a lot for me to be persuaded to play again.Reviewer Rating

Not bad?
In good condition, apart from the greens. Many were patchy and bumpy. One had serious damage on it from rabbits.Reviewer Rating

nice layout
The layout is nice on the Castle course bit it was in very average condition.Tee boxes were mostly all poor, fairways were okay, bunkers not very good at all, not much sand and lots of stones.
Greens were disappointing, very slow.
Clubhouse and staff were great though
