Played list Lagos which in my opinion is the better of the two courses. A lot of money gas been spent on improving the course in the past few years and it was in the best condition I have seen it. Greens were quick and very true and course suits long hitters with wide fairways and some long par 4's that require carrying water. That being said it is on the expensive side and 3.50€ for 30 balls on the driving range is taking the mick. The club house has been refurbished and serves a great club sandwich and a cold San Miguel which was just what is needed after a round in the sun.

Having read some reviews (clearly from quite some time ago) about Mijas Golf, I was uncertain about what sort of course I would find. I was very pleasantly surprised to find an interesting, challenging yet very playable golf course. The greens were a good pace, although they were slightly bumpy in places. Given that we were playing and paying for high season this was a bit disappointing although the bumpiness may have been because the greens had been hollow tined only a few weeks earlier. Most of the course has parallel fairways that allow wayward shots to be found and played. There are a number of very memorable holes and everyone in our party, from 4 to 18 handicapper, enjoyed the course. A singe round in high season is pricey but with the same-day replay deal, it works out at a decent price per round. Make sure you book buggies in advance as we did not and had some trouble persuading the staff in the reception that they could give us the free ones they had in the shed.

Fairways are quite bare, little grass so difficult to get club under ball especially for wedge shots. Bunkers are very poor, very little sand , lots of small stones.
