Great all round facilities, only let down by course suffering from extensive hot spells thus most fairways are quite burnt.

We had been looking forward to play a top notch golf course during our visit to Cyprus. Sadly we book at Aphrodite Hills. The staff in the Pro Shop seemed disinterested, the service in the restaurant was slow and inflexible (we were a minute late for breakfast but the staff made no attempt to see if the kitchen could russell up a bacon sandwich). On arriving at the range a sign informed us we need tokens for the balls which can be bought from the disinterested staff in the Pro Shop. The course itself had many stunning views but if I wanted stunning views I would have gone for a walk. The greens were heavily spike marked, some were suffering from burn out others were flooded due to over watering. However, we only paid £72 a person (working on £20 buggy, £2 water no ice provided £50 golf fee) I don't feel the place was a total rip off just very disappointing.

Worth visiting

Interesting course in great condition, some of the transits between greens and tees were excessive, between second and third is 1km, and extremely steep and long slope between six and seven. Disappointing aspect were the basic Cleveland hire clubs, plus a Srixon driver that didn't suit.

Interesting resort course

First impressions are this is well organised with buggies being pretty much mandatory. The buggies are arranged outside the Pro Shop with tee times displayed. The buggies have GPS, but this can sometimes be difficult to see and nags when you do not keep up with their idea of pace of play. This gets annoying when it tells you to speed up whilst you are held up by the group in front.

Course is in pristine condition with some of the best greens I have ever played and has some brilliant holes, especially the 6th which is a Par 3 over a ravine.

Large clubhouse overlooking the 18th green offers reasonable food and drinks.

If you are staying in one of the apartments, some are a mile away from the Pro Shop and there is no transport to collect you, so you need either a hire car or arrange a taxi.

Glad I played the course and would recommend but wouldn't rush back as there are courses that are as good and better value elsewhere in Europe.

Wide open in places but tight on some holes

Worth playing but look for deals as it’s expensive in real terms. Yes your playing the Cyprus PGA course, but ..... would play again. One downside is the building off house behind the 8th green has ruined the view of the hole.

played this course a few years ago and was the most memorable course I have ever played. many spectacular views from the course and some fantastic holes. when I played I used the hire clubs which were okay, but if I go again I will go as a 'golf trip' rather than playing whilst being on a family holiday, and take my own clubs.
I never took a look a the pro shop or hotel/resort etc as I was staying elsewhere, but from the quick look I took, the other facilities looked v.good.

Played the course twice in August - 9 and 18 holes.
Firstly, negotiate on price! got a 2-ball (Wednesday 9 hole comp) with a buggy for 50 euros. Also, played in the Friday afternoon comp for €84 inc. buggy for 2 people.

The course was in great condition. The only way around this course is with a buggy - longest distance between tees is 950 metres. The course is sprawling, spread out over the hill side, valleys etc especially on the front 9, which has the 2 feature holes.

Well worth the green fee (especially if you can negotiate a discount).

The course has a driving range, chipping green and putting green. Also has a 3 hole academy course. Great location and set up. Clubhouse is great. 2 pints of lager after were €8.

Stunning views await all those who play. The front nine is spread over such a vast landscape that, as mentioned in prior comments, it necessitates a buggy. I am not exaggeration when I say that the drive between the 2nd green and 3rd Tee takes about 5 minutes!

I played four rounds; two off the white tee's where I averaged about 25 pts and two from yellow; where I averaged 30 pts. Basically if your tee shots are not great you will find it, as I did, a lot harder to score from the white tee's.

The 7th is the signature hole - as you have to carry about 160 yrds from the whites over a craggy ravine. However the following hole 8th was my favourite - you are playing towards the see; beautiful.

The greens are large and generally in v.good condition, being a holiday resort I found that they were much better early morning that late in the day (pitch marks not being repaired - why don't all courses give free pitch mark repairers?)

The only disappointing aspect for me was the bunkers - the sand was thin and hard.

The whole complex from Hotel to bars and Club House were first rate.

Visited for a 3 day golf trip last week - The course was very scenic and the greens were like lightening! A 3 putt here isn't a particularly bad result according to the "starter". All in all I thoroughly recommend the course and the hotel. All very friendly and the deal we managed to get was good value. The signature hole over the ravine is a good test of nerve - with a narrow par 4 to follow. I challenge anyone to play a tee shot off the Championship Tees on the 3rd and make it to the fairway over the ravine again - it is a BIG hit! Have fun if you go there folks - we did - great fun!

Exceptional course

Played this as rounds 3 and 4 of a 5 round holiday. The whole set-up was impressive, and the views were very good. Great layout, as would be expected from a course where the pros are faced with some stern tests (from their tees). The 'signature' hole is the par 3 across a chasm - the 7th hole, although from a very simple 110 to 125 yards only depending on pin position, so more picturesque than difficult! The drive to get to the tee however is quite scary, with hairpin bends to negotiate down the steep hillside! Buggies are compulsory! The finishing hole is also quite impressive, being a par 5, with a lake coming into play on the right of the fairway, and all the way to the green in front of the terrace on the clubhouse.

I really enjoyed playing the course, although we were given a very late tee time (first of 4 tee times was at 12.33) for our 2nd round, and couldn't get in before darkness fell. The problem here is that we weren't staying at Aphrodite Hills resort, and the residents obviously get the earlier tee times. If you're involved in booking check into whether you can get round in time!
