What the club says: Aphrodite Hills Golf Club is a great challenge that takes you to every corner of the Intercontinental resort. Manicured fairways wind blissfully along cliff edges, casting stunning views in every direction. Enjoy the 7th hole, a menacing par 3 situated at the bottom of the ravine. The greens are always in great condition and a buggy is mandatory with all rounds.

Extraordinary venue in Cyprus used for European tour events in the past. buggy use required due to the distances between some tee boxes and greens. Fabulous use of the local landscape making some memorable golf ing experiences. Maintained to the highest standard and presented beautifully during my recent visit.

This was an incredible golfing experience that will live long in the memory. Bucket list venue good enough to have hosted past European tour events. Presentation and maintenance is of the top quality. The course snakes around a mountainous ravine incorporating a hotel and holiday homes. Some wonderful golf holes.

Iconic Europeaan Tour standard facility with a PGA Cyprus award. This is a top echelon golf course and facility. Excellent layout around a sweeping cavernous gorge. The whole site oozes history and yet has some brilliant rooms and accommodation available for the visiting golfer. This was an excellent golfing experience. the 7th is s short par 3 over a gorge. Tee green and nothing in between. Fabulous views and design.

Immaculate

The greens are like a carpet, very enjoyable. The fairway and rough were pristine and the views were amazing. Very much golf carts mandatory as some go kart paths to get to the next tee which added to the enjoyment

Exceptional course

Played this as rounds 3 and 4 of a 5 round holiday. The whole set-up was impressive, and the views were very good. Great layout, as would be expected from a course where the pros are faced with some stern tests (from their tees). The 'signature' hole is the par 3 across a chasm - the 7th hole, although from a very simple 110 to 125 yards only depending on pin position, so more picturesque than difficult! The drive to get to the tee however is quite scary, with hairpin bends to negotiate down the steep hillside! Buggies are compulsory! The finishing hole is also quite impressive, being a par 5, with a lake coming into play on the right of the fairway, and all the way to the green in front of the terrace on the clubhouse.

I really enjoyed playing the course, although we were given a very late tee time (first of 4 tee times was at 12.33) for our 2nd round, and couldn't get in before darkness fell. The problem here is that we weren't staying at Aphrodite Hills resort, and the residents obviously get the earlier tee times. If you're involved in booking check into whether you can get round in time!

Aphrodite Hills is an awesome course that's always in great condition. It's got some really interesting and challenging holes, but it's also forgiving enough for average players like me. The terrain is totally different from anything else I've played, and it's always meticulously maintained.

Interesting resort course

First impressions are this is well organised with buggies being pretty much mandatory. The buggies are arranged outside the Pro Shop with tee times displayed. The buggies have GPS, but this can sometimes be difficult to see and nags when you do not keep up with their idea of pace of play. This gets annoying when it tells you to speed up whilst you are held up by the group in front.

Course is in pristine condition with some of the best greens I have ever played and has some brilliant holes, especially the 6th which is a Par 3 over a ravine.

Large clubhouse overlooking the 18th green offers reasonable food and drinks.

If you are staying in one of the apartments, some are a mile away from the Pro Shop and there is no transport to collect you, so you need either a hire car or arrange a taxi.

Glad I played the course and would recommend but wouldn't rush back as there are courses that are as good and better value elsewhere in Europe.

Worth visiting

Interesting course in great condition, some of the transits between greens and tees were excessive, between second and third is 1km, and extremely steep and long slope between six and seven. Disappointing aspect were the basic Cleveland hire clubs, plus a Srixon driver that didn't suit.

Wide open in places but tight on some holes

Worth playing but look for deals as it’s expensive in real terms. Yes your playing the Cyprus PGA course, but ..... would play again. One downside is the building off house behind the 8th green has ruined the view of the hole.

Superb Location

A great course in a spectacular location with some really interesting holes. Par 3 7th over the ravine is a stand out as is the spectacular 8th running down to the sea. A touch pricey for first impressions but in the event well worth it. Buggies are a must given the distances between tees and mornings are busy so more exposed to slow play by mixed groups.
