lots of water on the greens,had to use chipper more than 6 times to get over pools on the greens

Played a few weeks ago, was very good condition considering the weather the prior week. Driving range was an odd site next to the first tee without a fencing?? Good course though overall and was enjoyable to play on. Some regulars in front in a 4-ball wouldnt let the 2 of us pass, but get that everywhere.
The 10th with the bend to the right was a great hole, crossing the 18th in the middle so anyone with a natural fade will really enjoy it!
Playing again tomorrow!

We first played this and found it a bit of a mongrel, a course that couldnt make its mind up what it wanted to be. We have played it a good half dozen times now and it is a clever 18 holes-you only appreciate the design if you play 18 as it chages from an 'inland links' to a parkland on the hill...dont be fooled by the 'wide' open fairways at the start and the end holes-even the semi-rough hides those long shots you played SO well!

greens in good condition, course layout being change which means so confusion between tees

Played the course a few years ago and what a change. New owners have improved everything, tees, fairways and greens were all excellent and couldn't believe it was the same place. A lot of work going on around the clubhouse with a refurbishment to the cottages due for completion soon. Looking forward to going back again to see what other changes have taken place.

Considering the last few reviews we were a bit concerned about playing here but as it was only £12.50 a round on a saturday we thought we would give it a go.From the moment we arrived in the shop we were glad we came,the staff were very friendly and could'nt do enough for our party. The golf course although not the hardest was in very good condition and the greens superb.For value for money and being made to feel welcome you will not find better than here and i for one am glad i did'nt listen to the above reviews.

Condition of first few fairways was very poor but improved later albeit not by a lot.
A lot of untreated weeds ie mown were in evidence and ground appeared baked and cracked.
Some very nice holes on the course and greens were very true if a little hard and slow.
Worth trying if you can get a discounted tee @ £10 or less but not otherwise currently.
Pity as the course has potential.

course was horrendous. fairways had weeds all over, most of the greens were bare and had virtually no grass on. worst golf course i've ever played at. do not play here! ombersely just up the road is a million times nicer.
