I loved this course, reminds me of great West Midlands courses like Lickey Hills, Chesterton Valley and Little Lakes. Really interesting layout over hills so lots of ups and downs. Don't be fooled by the short yardage and par 66, you need to be on top of your game to score well. Miss the plateau greens at your peril and make sure you hit the correct side of the sloping fairways or you'll leak shots on almost every hole. The course is wet and a few downpours during the round resulted in standing water on fairways and greens. Up until then the greens were lightening fast and have lots of subtle borrows making 3 putts a serious threat. Very friendly and welcoming staff and members. Definitely the type of club I would join if it was closer to home.

Coming from the flattest country in the world I was stunned by this course. It started with driving up to the clubhouse and starting uphill with the 1st hole. Course was well maintained. Very nice views and off course the pull pitt, loved it!

A top course in the centre of Shropshire. This is a really classy layout and is interesting throughout. Magnificent views all round the course and some really excellent holes including the par 3 7th with a significant drop down to the green. Don't let the par 66 fool you, there aren't many easy holes here.

I have been playing golf for nearly a year now and am a solid 28 handicapper. I formed a society at work and had played the Wrekin several times with colleagues who are members and our society. Without a doubt, the most varied course I have played. At only a 66 par it would seem a simple course, but far from it. It has some very difficult elevation changes, a couple of very long and difficult par 4's and a couple of challenging par 3's. Add in some interesting cambers to some of the fairways and you have a real challenge. It has some outstanding holes, the 5th is a beautiful sweeping dogleg right, the 7th you play from a tee around 100 feet above the green to a pin well protected by bunkers, the 13th, another elevated tee, to a dogleg left, where you dare yourself to take the Tiger line, to name but a few! Very welcoming staff and very friendly members, a lovely old school clubhouse. A small practice green and a well hidden practice area. I cannot recommend it enough, that's probably why I just joined up, at a very reasonable rate as well.

NEW COURSE
First time playing this course and I was really impressed with the quality of the fairways and greens....glad we took a buggy as it is extremely hilly....strange with no Par 5's and 6 Par 3's(Round played: Aug 2019 - Score: 76 Handicap: 11)

Lovely course, but tough!
Beautiful course, great views but hard going with some tricky holes. The 1st! The 9th! Always enjoy this course but still find it hard going. Recommended!(Round played: Apr 2019 - Score: 107 Handicap: 27.1)
