Good golf course/facilities, not very helpful pro shop but incredibly busy at weekends (a lot of members stressed)

Dont bother to try to pay and play this course at the weekend. Insufficient parking for the amount of course traffic, despite having two car parks and 4.5 hours to get round for a 2 ball. 'nough said...

A reasonable golf course for the modest golfer. When we were there the course was incredibly busy, car park over flowing, membership very grouchy at not being about to get on the course for societies (ie us). I would rate the course better than the experience but then it did take us just shy of 5 hours to get round

Average golf course, incredibly slow round (stuck behind poor golfers every where) and fairways covered in endless divots. Overpriced, poor value for money and let down by endless societies and pay players all over the course...

Nice clubhouse if not a little under used (ie why dont they have a snooker table), a course that plays fairly well and isnt too difficult a test but the problem here is that people are really packed in like sardines. Played it on a weekend and it took just under 5 hours to get round which is poor for a practise game. Seemed to be a combination of societies and club events going on (feel sorry for the average member) but the pro shop appeared to just want to get members on the course regardless.

A small society of 12 visited recently after the dreadful Storm Katie. The course had taken a battering with all Bunkers GUR. The greens had recently been drilled and sanded. The overall course was great with a quiet, calm round apparent for our of us. It is a really good challenge with interesting holes over water with bunkers shielding all greens. A very positive experience. The meal in the clubhouse was superb. Overall great customer service from pro shop and office staff so a splendid occasion for all golfers. We will return.
