Excellent course. Very wet due to rain but played well despite this.

Clubhouse was not open but i did tee off at 8:00. Lots of green keepers working!

Worsley was once again in tremendous condition, the greens are now regocnised as some of the finest in Manchester. The staff and members made us feel very welcome indeed. I would highly recommend that you play this excellent parkland course

From driving into Worsley Golf Club you get an immediate feeling that this would be a good club to visit. The clubhouse is very impressive and on entering the staff were very friendly and helpful. After having a bacon bap and coffee we went out to play 7 holes for a warm up morning competition. The groundstaff pointed us in the right direction to start at the 12th hole and even gave us a tip on how to play the hole. After and enjoyable morning we had a light lunch before going out to play the full course in the afternoon. We were not disappointed, a good variety of very different holes. The greens ran true once you got used to the speed of them, and flag placings were also good. After the game we sat and had drinks in front of the club house before entering the main lounge for what was a wonderful meal. For many in our party this was the first visit to Worsley Golf Club, For me it will become a regular club to visit. An excellent venue for a prty of golfers

I have been wanting to play this course for many years and have recently had the opportunity to play it twice.
Is it what I wanted (and expected) it to be, yes, I think its fair to say that it was. The course was very well kept and there are some challenging and interesting holes. On my latest visit (19/9/14) they had just put a ton of sand on all the greens which makes it really tricky to gauge a put properly but these things have to be done to maintain the course.
All in all would love to play again and would certainly recommend.
Oh and the food is really good too!!

Played today in a seniors open.Course condition excellent.Competition run very very well.Our third visit in the last 3 years.Some really challenging holes.

Played in Seniors Open today. Course and greens in excellent condition in view of the cold August we have had. Food in clubhouse excellent, which in itself is something to behold as it is the old pavilion from Old Trafford cricket ground. Already booked for next year.

Course was in great condition, some really interesting and challenging holes. You wont score well without thinking your way round here. Golf experience was very undermined by the fact that we were stuck behind a committee member who was playing incredibly slowly. At one stage he (the committee member) approached us and decreed that despite the fact we were waiting on every tee for about 5 holes and because we were visitors we should let the group behind us (who were members) play through and that they in turn would play them through. Course very worth playing if you are not bothered about having to stand aside for the more important members!!
