What the club says: Measuring 6,158 yards from the competition tees golfers of all abilities face a stiff but fair challenge at Willingdon. At all times of the year players will find a perfectly manicured course with slick greens that are the envy of many other clubs. The unique layout of the course ensures that play can be commenced at either the 1st, 9th or 15th holes which are all conveniently located near to the clubhouse.

I play courses in Devon and Cornwall as part of a golf society and can honestly say that this is one of the best courses that I have played on both for variety of holes and the superb condition of the greens and fairways. I will definitely play the course again.Reviewer Rating

Our favourite golf course in the Eastbourne area, in great condition each time we have played it, situated on chalk hills it drains very well. Exceptional views across to Eastbourne. Pay a visit the clubhouse is a definite to relax afterwards

The course is beautiful. I played this course 2 years ago and it was one of bed courses I have played.The greens were like carpets..Unfortunately this time the greens were terrible and virtually unplayable.I was told that a fungus had caused the damage and were recovering.As soon as they have recovered I will be back .It is quite hilly so a buggy or electric trolley recommended.A friendly club and would definitely recommend once the greens have recovered.

This seems quite a short course. Some of the par 3 holes are very interesting . The greens were in lovely condition and fast. This wasn't one of my best games !1

Nice course good greens with tiers. Route a but quirky and up and down with crossovers but overall a good course. Maybe not the best value for money but good.

Played a twilight round here today. Great value at £20 + £22 for a buggy. I’ve wanted to play here for about 15 years and jeez it was so worth the wait. Despite the par of 69 it has got to be one of the most challenging ones I’ve ever played anywhere. The greens immaculate and true, and two holes especially the 18th and the one on the McKenzie hole can offer comedy moments where you have to be on the right level. Tees were immaculate. Bunkers full of sand really I cannot fault this course.
The only gripe one of our group had and I will say that this didn’t bother me was the crossing of some of the holes. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Cannot wait to play here again and again.

Top quality
The greens were like glass a real challenge putting. Probably in the best condition I have seen. Friendly clubhouse staff with excellent food prepared by Rachel.(Round played: May 2019 - Score: 104 Handicap: 17.9)
