A very testing course and not for the faint hearted as some of the holes a very testing even for the most seasoned golfer. The signature hole is hole number 5 affectingly known as “The Sleeper” and require a accurate tee shot to the green or you will be facing an uphill struggle to chip up and over 10 foot railway sleepers to get onto the green. Make sure you have some comfortable golf shoes as the course is on the hilly side. The greens are very fast and in excellent condition and with very reasonable green fee for visitors.
The Pro shop has a well stock selection of clubs and equipment and the club house is very elegant and plush and offers very good quality food and drink and at very good rates.

Well sheltered course nestling in the downs near Eastbourne. Very friendly clubhouse and pro shop and catering to a good standard. Excellent value for money. This course is always in good condition and is a great place to play in the winter as it is sheltered from the prevailing bad weather. Often good deals on offer including a meal/round of golf for under £25. Recommended.

as soon as you arrive and see the course you know you have arrived at something special, a good test and the course plays longer than 5800 yards, hilly in places but not too bad, fairways and greens in great condition all year round

a stunning course, quite forgiving but plays a lot longer than it is. some great holes , par 3's are monsters 217 and 235 so if you rely on keeping your score down on par 3's forget it!!!!

Played a twilight round here today. Great value at £20 + £22 for a buggy. I’ve wanted to play here for about 15 years and jeez it was so worth the wait. Despite the par of 69 it has got to be one of the most challenging ones I’ve ever played anywhere. The greens immaculate and true, and two holes especially the 18th and the one on the McKenzie hole can offer comedy moments where you have to be on the right level. Tees were immaculate. Bunkers full of sand really I cannot fault this course.
The only gripe one of our group had and I will say that this didn’t bother me was the crossing of some of the holes. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Cannot wait to play here again and again.

Great scenery!

My first time here, wonderfully impressive visually. Good practice facilities and very friendly welcome from the staff and members. Course in fine condition, an interesting mixture of holes, nothing easy. The greens are quite small but offer perfect surfaces for putting. I'll definitely visit again.

Good course but played it in horrendous weather - the mist coming off the sea was more like sideways hail!
A few of the holes criss-cross each other so keep your wits about you.
Quite a challenge with some great holes on the back nine - does have small greens so accurate iron play needed.
