Temp tee boxes always annoy me. Widney has 18 of them. Decent value for money though, greens always average to good.

Played for the first time today and was slightly disappointed to begin with. Temporary tee mats (which is fine in winter) but the course not very well set out. The mats are so far from the tees is hard to fathom which hole your on and no direction to the different tees when there is multiple directions you could go in. HOWEVER the further we got round the more I started to like it. A tight course and quite short but not easy and you have think carefully about which shot to take. Now I know where the tee boxes are I would return. I think it would be really good course in the summer playing off the proper Tees and look forward to returning then.

this course i think is been used by hakers ie not replacing there divots and pitch marks on the greens

Greens in poor condition around flags. Resembled lumpy donuts and had turned a different colour to rest of the green. No better than an average municipal imo.

Given all the rain the course was in good nick. what spolied it for us was the young idiots behind firing their drives over our heads on couple of occasions. !! We were on the green when it happened one of the times !! W anchors !!Reviewer Rating

Decent
Played 18 holes in 2-ball on Saturday afternoon, course was quiet, completed round in c 3.5 hours. Not the most difficult of courses, however good variety of holes and pleasant round. Nice club house with Sky TV with current drinks promotion at ?2 per pint.Reviewer Rating
