First time I have played this course and was very disappointed, the course was in dreadful condition, the front nine in particular with lots of standing water and track marks on fairways, course in general needs a great deal of TLC, will not be going back

Not worth the money!
This is the renamed Widney course, nothing has been improved or changed, other than the name and the prices, which have one up by significantly, hence the course is empty most of the time, use to be a reasonably priced course, not any more!!!

Gone down hill
Used to be a good course. Whilst the course is still kept in good condition. The standards seems to have dropped. Players in groups of 5+ on tees. Groups with tops off an other groups in tracksuits & jeans !!!!

Bargain basement golf
Played in a damp, grey day which helped keep the usual senior players away. Led to a quick round. Greens are small and in poor condition. tee boxes are uneven and patchy. Fairways were well mown. Rough was a fair length. I only went into a bunker once but it seemed ok ,not the best sand but ok. needs to be sign posted to holes better, and more clear yardage markers needed on all holes. Not a very long course, to be honest I could have shot lower using just my 3 wood, drove the green on par fours twice. I would play this course again simply as it is on my doorstep and is as cheap as chips.

Course in good condition considering recent rainfall. Fairways could be more defined, but that is probably down to recent wet weather. Greens slow but true.

Weather has taken its toll....
Played here a few times but unfortthis was the worst condition it's been in. You could tell that the recent weather had really affected the conditions here. Fairways hadn't been cut, tees were wet and some looked like the rough and
greens were bobbly and in need of a cut. I'm sure though that as the weather improves so will the course condition. The good thing was as were were finishing our round the green staff were just going out...long may the Sun last.

Worth a visit certainly in the summer. In winter fairways can be very wet and muddy. Drainage doesn't seem to be to good. Yet in the summer the greens are some of the best your likely to play on. Only a short course but interesting.
