An average course that has been affected by tee box changes necessitated by land changes I believe. So many holes don't feel natural and require some odd tee shots to even get some kind of second shot to the green. Fairways average, greens good.
Why on earth golf courses in England don't send out drinks carts on some of the hottest days of the summer is beyond me - a captive market flagging due to dehydration, but West Malling, like all the rest, simply can't be bothered, even though they sent out a cart to check out green fee ticket...

Only a tenner but barely worth that for the Hurricane course - in poor condition all round. Fairways barely discernible from rough, tee boxes not great. Greens fairly consistent but slow. Some nice holes but wouldn't rush back.

On the hurricane course 4 or 5 holes are being restructured at the moment. Expected to be finished in February 2012.

Bring your own drink
Golf courses are reasonable. Fairways are good mostly. However if you want a drink after then would suggest bring your own as clubhouse closes quite early, even in the height of summenr and the car park is heaving, the barman turns people away, even if you are in a queue.If you pick the right day, the female bar staff are a lot more customer focused

First time I have played the Spitfire course. While not long. Accuracy is paramount. Some challenging elevations of Greens which make you think about club selection. Greens in good condition
