The course is playing lovely at the moment and this was after the morning thunder storms. You've got to be straight though as the rough is punishing at the moment, should die back a bit as the summer moves on.

Played wellow in a works golf day, played 27 holes and all 3 nine holes were very good. Greens in very good condition would definitely play again.

Played on a very windy day and found it challenging. You have to be on the fairway every hole as the rough is very unforgiving. Club pro was very friendly as were the people we met on the course. Very pleasant round.

winter coarse is in great condition for the weather we have had but is a bit awkward with longer walks between a few holes

I have played at Wellow quite a bit over the years but this is the best that I have seen it. Ok, it is former farm land but everything is in good nick, particularly the greens which are more interesting than you usually find on this type of course. It is pretty flat but the rough is like hay during summer, and there are a few ditches to be negotiated, so you need to keep on the straight and narrow. The clubhouse always has a welcoming atmosphere and the catering is good. There are 3 loops of 9, so a good value day out can be enjoyed here.
