Golf Course of Farmers Field?

Very average golf course not really well kept and felt like playing in an open field at many points

Very poor condition. Fairways covered in cuttings, rough areas more like a jungle & impossible to play & the greens are the worse I have ever seen. Left after the 4th. Couple that with very rude staff & a dirty facilities. Certainly won't be returning.

Some of the greens are in a very poor condition and the first cut has so much loose grass cuttings that we lost three balls from being just a few yards off the fairway.

It is how ever a very picturesque setting so just a shame that the course isn't in better condition

We wouldn't go back as it is at present

Cheap as chips but a good challenge.

Be under no illusions - there will be no European tours organised here, but that's not what this club offers. Club house and facilities are stuck in the 80's but the course still presents a good challenge for all standards of golfer. Hardly any lie is flat, cleverly elevated greens, slight links feel to some holes, 2 par 3's that wouldn't look out of place in any of Portugals finest courses. Yeah it's rough around the edges but so what - never a dull moment.

Plenty of more interesting downlands courses in the area, but good value and not very busy so got around swiftly.

In better condition than remembered. Greens a bit slow and fairways a bit fluffy but enjoyed the round.

Not bad for a council run course, but preferred the rounds at singing hills and east brighton

Waterhall could be a nice course but is not kept in the best condition, however at £12 on a weekend it does offer great value for a practise round. Very Hilly in places but some interesting holes with tees perched on top of hills driving into valleys.

Murderous rough, a real ball muncher of a course. Some long par fours, but in a lovely setting. Very hilly and hard graft carrying a bag!

The semi rough is far to long and dense any ball off the fairway is very hard to find.

Played on a Saturday in November, very busy, had to wait 10-15 mins on probably 15 of the 18 holes. Greens were OK but the fairways were full of rabbit holes, I don't mean the odd one, I mean there were thousands of them. Every hole was straight, not a dog leg among them. Very hilly though so make sure you have a good pair of walking legs. I know it is only £15 but for £5 or £10 more there are much better courses local to this, so my advice is don't waste your money here, go elsewhere.
