OK round of golf, greens very unreliable, either long or very long throughout with no consistency.

I used to play this course as my regular about 10years ago when I was a junior (used to be £5 a round which was great value), this summer I went back 2 times to play, I was not so impressed. the course had barely made any improvements from what it used to be (only the 2nd had improved as they finished drainage works), everything was either exactly the same, or even worse regards to green conditions (few holes using winter greens in late June!) and tee areas are poor ... the first time we went down we had a booked tee time and had to wait 30 minutes longer to tee due to a society (5x4balls so couldn't play through them all!). second round (late august) I got on straight away and had slightly better experience but still compared to other courses in Warrington this course is below average condition... this course used to be just £10~ to play (adult) so seemed good value but since the fees are now almost double that and there is NO improvements I would say look at other courses in the area, and some have cheaper rates and better looked after too.

Wasn't impressed with this course played on the 29th of may supposed to be 730 but they had overbooked and we were waiting around for an hour to tee off the course was not in good condition the grass a had been cut on the fairways and just been left there resulting in a lot of lost balls and time trying to find them the greens were not in the best of condition and some were brown on the edges. The shop used to be so well organised now looks like a pound shop.not impressed at all

The last time I played this course before today was 2010 and I then loved it. The course was in great condition and the greens great.

Having played it today (12/07/12) I was bitterly dissapointed, the course was like a bog and the fairways were like a racecourse with grass 2 inch thick. A real shame, we all know that the local councils are cutting back and this course is a real reflection of those cut backs as its gone to ruin

Usually a good course, but suffering the winter. Very wet fairways, and greens very difficult. Not much they can do in these conditions, but £13 for a weekend round makes up for it. All tees off the mats.

This course could be good but with total lack of drainage wellies would be the footwear of choice at the moment. Spent 18 holes walking through water.
