18 holes gone, range and shop remain

It was recently sold, the new owners have apparently decided to replace the existing 18 hole course with two football pitches, a fishery and football golf... sad times. The pro shop is still there under (it wasn't bought with the rest of the site) but the range is a mess and barely has any grass now (range is owned by the new group).

A Real Test

This is not an easy course, it’s deceptive in that it isn’t long but you really have to plot your way around to turn in a decent score. It’s in really good condition here in June but it may not be the case all year round but I and my pals enjoyed our first round here so much that we bought the fee reduction option card for just £30 we now have half price green fees for a year, sadly there is a vacancy in the cafe which means it’s not fully open some weekdays but when it is open they do a really good full English breakfast. The greens are very good quick but not ridiculous, All in all this is a great find, so many friendly people there

Great little gem of a course

Quite a short course (which suits my game) but in excellent condition. Very fast green. Some lovely holes. Lovely views. Lots of wildlife. £15 a round. Would highly recommend. Will definitely be playing there again.

Good course cheap as chips bunkers could do with sand in them and can be a bit waterlogged in places but for £15 you can't argue.

Nice interesting course

Fiddlers Ferry is a very pleasant course and well maintained. It has a strange charm being over looked by the now defunct power station. The golf shop is like the Tardis. On the outside does not look much but inside is massive with a great deal of golfing products to offer. Regular visits are definitely on our list.

Crap

Played this course on Saturday, loads of potential but very disappointing with length of grass & the tees, and also lack of course/ hole directions, says established 2006 have to say if that’s the case, then something has gone wrong , cos with the right investment & management could be a great course

This is a great course, still relatively new, but efforts are being made to improve. It is a pay and play, and some golfers ??????????? Don’t help, poor at etiquette and repairing the damage they cause, divots, pitch marks etc. Difficult to vet these people and it’s necessary income for club. \But all in all nice, tricky test of any golfer ????????

Good friendly course, challenge for all

Without having great length the course is layed out in a way that challenges all levels of golfer. Be aggressive and attack the pins and you can reap the rewards or on some holes come unstuck on the narrow greens.
Course condition is good and pace of play is not an issue

Our day out

lets be frank after a modest improvement last year things are back to where they were. Greens are covered in weeds. Tees are totally uncared for. Ground marked under repair has been that way for over 12 months no repairs made. No sand in bunkers, bunkers full of weeds. Still got water log issues on 4th,5th,10th,14th and 16th holes. Golfers toilets (portacabin) had dirty toilets and bowls. floor could do with clean as well. Staff are completely lacking in customer service skills and it appears if you are not a driving range customer little attention is paid to you. Ran across poorly dressed golfers with some sharing a bag during the round. Litter everywhere from path to first tee all the way round. Paid a tenner which is all its worth that will be our last visit
