Needs Attention

Play most Sundays & yes we have seen the price go up to £25, & I thought we would see improvements on the whole course given it's now gone up to £25, now I know we have had rain etc but other than the greens, I thought or we all thought the course wasnt great at all. The fairways were terrible & you cudnt tell the fairways to the first cut to be honest...so £25 doesn't justify playing when the course looks shabby, don't normally complain but this has to be said.

Boggy fairways, greens boggy and aerated and lack of course management self-evident. Course should have been closed as unplayable. First time played and will be the last

Good course but not managed

Starting to think the overbooking here is an intentional thing as everyone wants between 9 and 11 on a Saturday. They just take all the bookings and let the golfers sort it out themselves on the course. Be prepared for a 30 minute wait to tee off and at least a five hour round. Course itself is very good, a little bit scruffy in places but a large contributor to this is the hackers that play here that buy all the gear except a pitchmark repairer. Could be great, isn’t currently and better options available.

Unable to play as overbooked yet again!

I cannot review the actual course as we didn’t even manage to play.
The booking for our Society tees had been made 6 months ago and upon arrival today 10 minutes before our tee times there were still 32 golfers stood waiting on the tee from another society.
We were informed by the person in the pro shop that they had double booked due to a new system that they had in place and a member’s car breaking down??
We haven’t played the course for a while as exactly the same thing has now happened on 3 occasions to us and regrettably we decided to give it another chance.
Most certainly off the list for the future and we will never book again.
It is very disappointing when you work all week and look forward to a game of golf at the weekend only to find you have a wasted 20 mile and an hours round trip.
There was no apology and no phone call to pre- warn us of the error they had made which would have at least saved us all the wasted journey.
Completely unacceptable and clearly mis-managed.

Great course let down by poor maintenance

This is a great course, lots of challenging holes, but let down by poor maintenance, especially on the greens.

Great course for summer

Huge lovely parkland course. With some challenging holes. Just missing some water features and best played when dry as drainage is not the best.
