National Disaster

First time player of this course. Very poor condition. 1st hole closed on Lake course which was disappointing. A great track but lacking care. Greens ok for this time of year but elsewhere needs attention to make it worth playing.

We played this course and it took 5 and a half hours. There were marshalls on the course assuring us they new it was slow and but did nothing about it as it was a lucrative society booking that was slowing the whole course down and the earnings from that group were more imprtant than the experience of the customers behind. To give an indication of how slow it was when we reached the 3rd tee there were 3 separate groups waiting on the tee for the green to clear. 2 of our party walked off at the 14th because they were sick of 20 minute waits on the tees. When I contacted the club - golf pro and managing director of the resort to leave feedback I was ignored. Avoid this place unless you think 5 and a half hours is a reasonable time to spend on the course!

Great condition but design is unnecessarily penal - mid to high handicappers dont need to miss fairway by more than a few yards on many holes (sometimes on both sides) to be OB or lose a ball, racking up penalty shots without being all that wayward.
Approached bar afterwards and was told to sit down and wait for table service, waited 20 minutes for service, couldnt get attention of staff though there were plenty around, so gave up and went to a pub instead!

A few very odd doglegs but otherwise a lovely course but ruined by allowing people on who couldn't play golf. On the 10th there were 5 groups of 3 all playing the same hole - ridiculous. A true example of getting people's money is more important than giving them a wonderful golf experience.

Not in best condition
First time I’ve played this course which has a great variety of holes, a few are quite long and I recommend a buggy !Although a great design we didn’t see it in its best condition with most of the fairways quite long and needing a cut (probably a by product of a wet couple of weeks after many weeks of dry weather). The greens had recently been dressed and it felt as though too much sand had been used as they were very difficult and inconsistent to put on. The tee markers and flags could also do with a little TLC - particularly the tee markers which could do with a coat of paint.
A great course, we just didn’t see it looking it’s best today

Good Course

Wasn't in great condition
I was really looking forward to my round on the Wales National but it fell below expectations. The course was waterlogged on most fairways, the rough was unkempt and two holes were out of action. It made for a frustrating round.(Round played: Nov 2017 - Score: 104 Handicap: )
