Local parkland course set on a hillside in grounds around Townley Hall.
Course can become waterlogged in lower ground areas but overall a good value for money course with ongoing developments to improve drainage.

Not played here for quite some time, brilliant to be back as course was in great condition, location lovely, me and the lads had a great day's golf and we'll be back definitely.

Although a municipal course, this is my regular course. It is challenging without being unplayable and is kept in fantastic condition. Great value for money with excellent views from some parts of the course. Would recommend to anyone.

Reasonable municipal golf course, the green fees are not excessive and they try and keep the course in reasonable condition. Due to the recent weather there were quite a few muddy spots but which I guess was to be expected after all the rain we've had...

I pay green fees at Townley so I know the course really well. If you want to play a course where you can open up your shoulders with the driver this is it, wide fairways on most of the holes will leave big hitters with a pitch to the green. There is lovely scenery from all areas of the course, especially the view of Pendle Hill from the 14th.
