Excellent council course, run as good as most private clubs, great staff good food and drink (well priced too )

Well kept course

The course is in perfect condition, it rained really heavy during my round and green became waterlogged quite quickly, quite an easy course defo recommend for high handicaps like myself

Towneley

Played 9 holes (badly) with a friend as it was an evening tee time. Course was great had a few divots not replaced but for a municipal very excellent. Will be playing there again for sure

Great friendly welcome, nice well set out course good tee boxes lovely fairways and rapid greens with testing pin positions to say the least!!
Nice clubhouse bar with friendly staff, recommend

What A Course

Where to start, Towneley Golf Course is a stunning course to play up and down course with no buggies so it is a good walk to get round, the location is very picturesque, the fairways are in immaculate condition as are the greens there is a brook that runs through the whole course so beware the water, when i found out this course was a municipal i didn't believe it, one of the best courses ive played in a while. will return 100%
