Work Golf
Played today with 4 work colleagues, weather was mixed with some heavy showers , despite this the course was in good condition, the back 9 is more pleasing on the eye than the front . Not the longest course but we’ll set out & looked after , some testing holes in places , an enjoyable afternoon helped by playing 4 under handicap !(Round played: Jul 2020 - Score: 83 Handicap: 17.4)

Nice clubhouse bar with friendly staff, recommend

Would definitely play here again. Thinking of bringing my golf society.
Great value for money. I’ve played many more expensive courses which were no way near as good as this.

What A Course
Where to start, Towneley Golf Course is a stunning course to play up and down course with no buggies so it is a good walk to get round, the location is very picturesque, the fairways are in immaculate condition as are the greens there is a brook that runs through the whole course so beware the water, when i found out this course was a municipal i didn't believe it, one of the best courses ive played in a while. will return 100%(Round played: Sep 2017 - Score: 86 Handicap: 22.1)

Nice track.
Nice course in great condition. Greens were terrific, credit to the greenstaff.Course has a brook running through it which challenges you to risk/reward. Some holes are relatively short par fours however narrow entry to greens and bunkers await wayward shots.
Great three course meal afterwards, stewardess was very friendly made sure we all ate well.
Score 84, handicap 14

very cold and cloudy, greens were fast because they were dry. to be fair the club had reduced rates so fair play o them

Local parkland course set on a hillside in grounds around Townley Hall.
Course can become waterlogged in lower ground areas but overall a good value for money course with ongoing developments to improve drainage.
