Excellent course. Greens a littlecsandy at present but will become good again soon

In very bad condition at the min. having work done that shows no sign of being done in time for the new season.? also they changed the order of the front nine at the end of last year but havent changed the score card? standards are slipping ! at leasted they have now got round to changing the nubering on the course that was very confusing. Its was a nice little knock about but I would not recomend untill the weather has turned for the better.

Work Golf
Played today with 4 work colleagues, weather was mixed with some heavy showers , despite this the course was in good condition, the back 9 is more pleasing on the eye than the front . Not the longest course but we’ll set out & looked after , some testing holes in places , an enjoyable afternoon helped by playing 4 under handicap !(Round played: Jul 2020 - Score: 83 Handicap: 17.4)

I play this course regularly and it is always in good condition. It offers a fair level of difficulty for the average club golfer. Staff are very helpful & polite.

very cold and cloudy, greens were fast because they were dry. to be fair the club had reduced rates so fair play o them

Local parkland course set on a hillside in grounds around Townley Hall.
Course can become waterlogged in lower ground areas but overall a good value for money course with ongoing developments to improve drainage.

Reasonable municipal golf course, the green fees are not excessive and they try and keep the course in reasonable condition. Due to the recent weather there were quite a few muddy spots but which I guess was to be expected after all the rain we've had...
