Nice local course.
Tinsley is a nice testing course which we like playing but unfortunately we cannot seem to be able to get on to play in the mornings on a Sunday even though we are SIV members and get to book on 13 days in advance which is a little frustrating to say the least as we go on line first thing in the morning! apart from that it is one of my favourite courses of which i try to play. The only other thing is the café/bar has closed and is dearly missed as we normal have a couple of pints afterwards.(Round played: Jul 2021 - Score: 96 Handicap: 23.5)

Last year when we played it it was in need of some tlc because when we had a lot of the rain it was just left sitting on the course and it seemed to kill a lot of the grass however because of the enforced lay off it seems to be on the mend. Nice course but needs to be kept that way! Bar needs to open on Bank holiday Mondays as was closed on the last one.

Rainy first round
Due to covid 19, this was the second week of the reopening of courses, I expected the course to be busy with golfers wanting to play, but it was empty(Round played: Jun 2020 - Score: 104 Handicap: )

More tic required.
Tinsley golf course has been one of my favourite public courses in Sheffield bit is in need of some tic as it is starting to look tired, recently the heavy and persistant rain has caused big pools which have just been left to drain in its own time causing the the grass to rot, turn black leaving a stagnant smell. Easy to get on, can be temps
Lovely course in summer, no problems with that .. in winter they do maintenance on the course and its often on temps and the temps are just a hole in the fairway. Some interesting holes and always a fun challenge, especially the 17th par 3 which is still yet to be conquered.Reviewer Rating

Good course for standard golf
I have played this course a few times now and its always worth a visit in between other courses for a practice round. Some interesting holes and challenging ones too. Facilities are ok, I think the cafe has closed now which is a pity but for the cost of a round, I would always have this on my list for a last minute decision to play a round.Reviewer Rating

Fairway good quality cut short rough not to long green quite fast and keep line tee box bad in places but seen worse overall good quality for £15 on Saturday
