Really poor course, greens are horrendous, loads of mole holes and water logged. No direction around the course and no flags in holes on the greens.

Strange experience. I got lost a few times due to lack of signage. And many of the signs on the course had graffiti on them. And i skipped a couple of holes due to a couple of lad chipping practice (the joys of evening golf). Most remarkable i was followed up the 17th and 18th fairways as the groundskeepers were collecting in the flags from all the greens.

On the plus side its got some fun holes. With some attention and care it could be a decent course.

Try it and be pleasant suprised

Many things are said about Concord and not all of them are fair.

It’s set next to a large park in a working class part of Sheffield and there are public rights away across the course. It’s obviously not got the same budget as some of the more top end courses around the Sheffield area, but it makes the most of what it does has, and it has been cared for, looked after and has improved a lot over the last few years and the money it has earned has been reinvested in the course and tidied it up a lot from what it was. The signage has been updated, bunkers full of sand and the Greens appeared to be true and looked after.

It’s ideal for beginners as most of the holes are challenging but not too difficult. The 4th and 7th are the toughest, the back nine is shorter and easier from that the front 9, but with the small Greens accurate Iron play is essential.

I’ll definitely be back again

Absolutely horrible. Played in peak summer and the condition of course was hideous. We had to tee from what looked like a building site on one hole. Many unsavoury characters walking around the course at the same time carrying cans of beer. Almost all of the greens were in terrible condition, I wouldn’t let my dog poo up there, it is safe to say I won’t be returning.

Course is good value for money and not too busy, but not in exactly top condition (I think someone has pinched all the sand). Staff at course friendly and helpful. Good place to start learning the game as it is very short. Hole 7 impossible for anyone other than a VERY good golfer who can hit the ball very high indeed to cope with the uphill height of the green. Cannot think of another Par 3 that requires such a shot. Hilly course so good excessive to be had.
