I’ve just read the previous review and that chap must’ve played another course, Tinsley is superb, yes the rough is long, that’s always been their, and only erranat shots or bad club choice will find itThe greens are excellent attention to detail from the staff is clear and it’s probably as good as a golf course as it’s ever been, I recommend giving it a try,
As for the £19 green fee at 5.30
That’s a round of drinks for your 4 ball these days, maybe do that instead of 4 hours looking for your ball

Course condition
The course is one to which i like a lot but the greens were not in as good a condition as normal on my last visit and parts of the course were very dry and could have done with some watering. Hopefully just a one off and will definitely be going again to see.Reviewer Rating

Lovely Municipal
Played here yesterday (New Year's Eve 2017) with our society - a few of the lads were familiar with the course and recommended it as a decent track. It was! There were several (7 I think) temp greens but they'd been as nicely manicured as possible to allow them to act as similarly to full greens as poss.It was a course that yielded good scores with 11 of our 14 players shooting over 30 stableford, 8 of which were over 35 with the winner and second on 42 and 40 respectively - so it is a course that offers good scores when played well.
Very enjoyable round for £15, and a great way to spend the early part of NYE.
