What the club says: Lees Hall Golf Club was established in 1907 as a 9 hole course, increasing to 18 holes in 1911. The 18 hole parkland layout which has stunning views over almost the whole of Sheffield was designed by Alex Herd, the Open Champion of 1902. Situated on the south side of Sheffield, easily accessible from the M1 (north and south) and the Sheffield Ring Road, Lees Hall Golf Club has been recognised by many, as one of the friendliest and sociable Clubs in the area.

Lovely
Not the longest course but tight enough to keep it interesting with ditches running across some holes and a hill on the par 3 16th that's called cardiac hill for a reason.Reviewer Rating

Society day

Beautiful course, I love it.
Great to be back even if for one round enjoyed being a member last year only sorry to have missed so much of it with Covid and my knee playing up. If could have got a deal again like last year might have considered joining again but a little steep considering we don't know where we are yet with Covid and they don't give you any discounts for time lost !(Round played: Jun 2021 - Score: 93 Handicap: 23.1)

Excellent course
Society visit course was in great shape greens ran true and in tricky positions. There were no flat straight puts. Quite hilly and there was a strong wind blowing. Very friendly club with great staff.(Round played: Jul 2020 - Score: 89 Handicap: 15.6)

Great Course

Great charity day, pity about greens
We played as part of the Tony Currie Golf Day and found the club and facilities to be spot on. The whole day was brilliant on a lovely course, just spoilt slightly by hollow tining on the greens which meant putts went wayward, which is a problem in a competition. Other than that, I will certainly be back to try and green the tee off on hole 1 !!Reviewer Rating

Greens fast but keeps line if you went wayward rough not long so not taking long to find ball so no slow play fairways and second cut very good
