Greens and fairways not in the best condition. Food and drink expensive and poor quality.

Service on phone was so bad we did not even play, the instant we mentioned Golf Club network they were not interested bordering on rude.

What can we say? Just poor all round. Booking a tee time was hard enough as couldn't confirm how much the round would be. Upon arrival we were greeted to the news that the round would cost us more than informed on the phone so we had a ten minute 'discussion' to resolve that. The coffee machine is self vend and there were no cups for us and the only person in the bar was the cleaner who didn't know where they were kept so we didn't wait for her to find those.
The course didn't live up to much either. The 1st is a strange opener, 90 degree dogleg and then a very steep climb up to the green. We did enjoy some nice views while we gained breathe but then the greens were very slow and slightly bobbly.
From then the fairways were very strange with bare patches then long clumps, no consistency to be honest. Then some double greens encountered and more slogs up steep hills to get to fairways. Course was very quiet and quite frankly were weren't surprised!

Not worth it
Played yesterday, sunny weather course reasonably dry but no buggies or trolleys without medical exemption! Hilly course and I'm getting too old for carrying! Course shortened, temporary tees on most which were in poor conditionReviewer Rating

not too bad the course plays well in winter as good drainage and overall a good outing!

Course very dry as usual for Millbrook at this time of year but green receptive to a good shot if you can find a good lie

There are some great holes on this course but, a year ago we stopped playing it because all you could see when looking accross course were golfers searching for their balls on and off the fairways. If you go 1ft off the fairway you will probably lose your ball, one of us even lost one when his ball ran off the back of the green. I asked the owner if he had any plans to cut the grass and he said "you have you should have seen it last week, we have only just cut it". It is a shame that we have scratched the course from our playlist as it has the potential to be a great course.

Course in lovely condition after all the rain greens actually playing slow which is unusual for this course all in all still a challenge off the tee to get a good position for hitting fairways and greens not disappointed.
